Charged me $439.88 without ever quoting a price.

Their website says "Before any work starts, we'll confirm the final
price with you" and "Once you approve the estimate, we get to work."
I was never given an estimate when I booked, never given one on
arrival, and never approved a price. The crew loaded everything,
hauled it off, and the charge showed up afterward.

Pricing is supposed to be by volume. The owner left me a voicemail confirming that, and saying I did not have a full load. His words were "more than a half a load."

Now compare that to their own published prices. Their pricing page lists a half load at $200-$300, a 5/8 load at $250-$330, and a full load at $400-$450. Their furniture removal, garage cleanout, and Cary pages each state that a half-truck load is $250.

I was charged $439.88. That is full-truckload pricing, for a load
the owner himself says was not a full load. I have camera footage of the entire job from arrival to departure and the load was under half the truck bed.

In that same voicemail he also told me "I charged you 425." My
statement says $439.88.

I asked him twice in writing to tell me what volume he was charging for and how he arrived at the number. He called once to say he wasn't ripping me off, refused to put anything in writing, and then stopped responding.

Get a written price before you let them load anything.

On Sept 24, 2026, we were very blessed to have Backwoods Junk Removal to come remove some very heavy furniture from my parent's home. Terrence and his assistant were so professional, arrived on time on 2 loading trucks, very courteous and kind. Both men were very gentlemanly. They were there 30 mins total. Their price was very reasonable and affordable. These guys were like 2 angels to me and my sister. We laughed, and we said they were going to be on our  "speed dial" in the future. I highly recommend them, and I can't think them enough for their hard work!
